Crew Transfer Vessels

State-of-the-art wind farm crew transfer boats that deliver personnel and equipment to offshore wind farms

At CWind, we provide dedicated crew transfer vessels and wind farm boat hire, offering cost-effective and high-performance solutions for any project. Our industry-leading service gives our clients peace of mind, with efficient and well-maintained vessels manned by highly-qualified and experienced crew – all supported by our expert on-shore team.

Our wind farm crew transfer boats and vessels range from 18.5 meters to 26 meters in length, and are designed with the needs of our customers – as well as the safety and comfort of passengers – in mind. Our purpose-built crew transfer vessels (CTVs) have a proven track record of transferring personnel and equipment in complete safety.

We have provided crew transfer services at wind farms throughout the UK and Europe including London Array, Thanet & Kentish Flats, Westermost Rough, Borkum Riffgrund, Princess Amalia and Gode Wind.

Our crew transfer vessels are different. We have focused on vessel design, size and power source to ensure that we offer our clients a ‘Green Service’ whilst still having the same ability of larger vessels. Our customers enjoy low fuel burn figures, meaning lower costs overall.

If you’re looking to source and hire a market-leading wind farm crew transfer boat, speak to the industry experts today.

Introducing the CWind Pioneer:

The Future of CTVs

Not only are we committed to leading the industry in the quality of our crew transfer vessels, we are always looking for ways to develop new technologies to make the entire industry more sustainable. At CWind, we believe we must take responsibility for lowering our environmental impact – which is exactly why we’ve built and launched the CWind Pioneer: the world’s first Hybrid SES.

The CWind Pioneer is supported with cutting-edge technology to create a transfer vessel that is not only safer and faster than the competition, but is the most environmentally-friendly it’s ever been. By investing heavily in carbon-reduction initiatives, we have built a vessel truly fit for the offshore wind industry. So now your projects can be greener and more sustainable from start to finish. We’re excited to be bringing such a revolutionary vessel to market, knowing this is just the start of CWind’s vessel innovations!

Find out more

Our trusted wind farm boat hire service – crew transfer vessel charter – is adept at transporting offshore technicians quickly, safely and comfortably to and from sites.

Our wind farm crew transfer boats and specially designed to deal with even the toughest weather conditions, ensuring that all transfers are completed efficiently and with safety as a priority. This means that your business costs remain low, ensuring that deliveries to site are being made on time, whilst crews have peace of mind knowing that their crew transfer vessel service is trusted and puts their needs first!

At CWind, we know and understand that getting the right wind farm boat hire is critical to offshore construction and maintenance project performance, which is why we offer reliability and speed with every journey.

State-of-the-art wind farm crew transfer boats can provide valuable logistical support for your offshore project – delivering fresh, rather than fatigued, personnel to your site and maximising their work window. This ensures that works can be carried out faster and at a higher quality, offering more value than simple transportation from one location to another.

We offer a diverse range of wind farm crew transfer boats to ensure our clients get the most appropriate vessel for their requirements and wind farm.

Crew comfort is at the forefront of our vessel designs, meaning our saloons are well ventilated and fully heated, and supplied with at least a microwave, water boiler and fridge as standard. In addition, crew transfer vessels have full audio and PA systems, can offer Wi-Fi if required, and many of our vessels have televisions. There is ample storage for kit bags and wet zones for hanging and drying damp clothing.

We provide crew transfer vessels which are coded by the Maritime Coastguard Agency to Category 1 or 2, allowing them to operate up to 150nm and 60nm from a safe haven respectively. All of the safety equipment required by code is carried on board and serviced to schedule. Our fleet carries full commercial insurance and operate CCTV for safety and security – giving you, and your technicians, further peace of mind!
